Guide to POTS

Hoping this makes a confusing chronic illness diagnosis easier

Dry Mouth and Dry Eyes

Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional. I can only speak to my own experience and hope that gives you some insight into what POTS is and how it can affect you or the people around you.

What it feels like: being thirsty all the time. Your eyes sticking to their lids.

What Causes It:

I’ve been told it’s just a cause of autonomic dysfunction and a key symptom of POTS. It could possibly be the problem with the blood vessels and the circulation? Or just another nerve problem?

Solutions I’ve Found:

Hard candies help. I tend to drink a lot of water but make sure to add some electrolytes to it if you’re drinking a lot. There are dry mouth mouthwashes that can help as well. Eye drops can help with the eyes but use them sparingly because they can make it worse.
